Science and a love of learning has influenced Beverly Morgan’s art.
Throughout her adult life, Morgan has enrolled in community college classes to learn new skills and explore creative outlets.
The college classes as an adult complement an already educated artist. Morgan received a bachelor’s degree in Formal Education from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in Education from the University of Illinois. Her emphasis was in home economics, with minors in art, science and business.
Morgan was a high school teacher in the Chicago suburbs. She also owned a quilt shop in Door County, Wisconsin.
Morgan’s interest in science led to collecting fossils and gemstones. She also enrolled in several silver-smithing classes to mount her specimens.
Watercolor has enabled Morgan to capture the beauty of nature, wildlife and especially birds.
