She
first took formal art classes in California, studying watercolor,
drawing and oil painting through the San Luis Obispo schools and
Cuesta College. Later, she continued her studies at the prestigious
Armory Art Center in Palm Beach, Fl. Over a two year period there
she furthered her studies of drawing, watercolor, oils, and added
pottery to the mix.
Her stone sculpting began with an artist friend
in Georgia during the 1980's and continued in Palm Beach at the
studios of the famous sculptor, Luis Montoya.
She has attended workshops through her membership
with the Idaho Watercolor Society and currently with the Central
Brevard Art Association. She has studied with excellent local artists
and she has taught watercolor and pottery in her own studio. She
has won awards from Idaho to Florida for her paintings and pottery.
Throughout her studies she has maintained
her own style and held onto her love of and need to create art.
