Basic Perspective Workshop I & II - May 2013
Learn the fine art of perspective drawing.  On the first day, students learn the basic principles of one, two and three point perspective with hands-on participation.  Drawing simple boxes and moving on to more complex drawings such as stairways, houses and cityscapes, students will have the foundation to experiment on their own.  The second day will delve further into cast shadows and more complicated elements such as arches, steeples dormers and more. Take one or both days.  Cost is $65 for one day or $100 for both.  Materials for use during class provided.  Pre-registration required. Time will be 10 am to 3 pm (with an hour for lunch) each day.

Painting on Copper - June 2013
Sheila Wedegis will present a one-day workshop on Painting on Copper. She will guide you through the process of preparing the copper and learning to paint on it.  Some painting experience is required.
One-day workshop includes:
Why copper? Preparation of the copper; Technique; Small demo; Handouts
Cost: $120 ($100/person; $20 for supplies including copper, sandpaper, gloves)
Date: Saturday, June 1, 2013 Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Each artist must supply paints (acrylics or oils) and brushes. A painting supply list will be provided after registration.

Calling all artists - Art Gallery of Viera announces “Elements III” a fine art show featuring the elements of nature, Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, running from June 7th through July 6th , 2013. The Opening Reception for this show will be Saturday, June 8th, from 6 to 9 p.m. To apply, you will need to email a .jpg of each artwork to call4art@artgalleryofviera.com. no later than May 30th . Upon notification of acceptance, download the Entry Form, tags, and W-9, complete and bring along with your fee and artwork to Art Gallery of Viera during the designated take in dates and times.
